Hi, I’m writing you from Assisi — I have something to confess. I am constantly disheartened by the lack of charity and the lack of spirituality I encounter at some of the most holy sites of our Church.

What I learn in these situations is how NOT to act… it’s a sad reality and lesson. But I encourage you to do the same, that you be docile to God’s magnificent work which bears fruit even out of the most unfortunate situations.
