First, I want to thank all who participated in the campaign of support to provide the academic books for Filii Passionis this coming semester. The Holy Mass, the August Sacrifice of the Altar, was offered for you and yours this past Monday in Berlin, and you will be remembered each month at a Mass offered for the Benefactors of Filii Passionis.

Second, I am picking up the campaign again which provided over 125 books to seminarians, priests, and religious last year. I will still be providing the same book (Meditations from the School of Jesus Crucified), but to more seminarians. My original goal was 500 and still is!

We need men, especially future priests, to be particularly devoted to the Passion of Christ! We have been suffering the past few weeks with a profound realization of the sins which are plaguing the Church and the world. To combat this epidemic, we need to do everything we can to foster love for Love Crucified. It is at the feet of Our Lord that we will find everything we need, our weaknesses fade to nothing in the Presence of His Might, His Glory, His Peace. 

Most seminaries have begun their academics in America, and in the coming month European seminaries will begin. I hope we can get a head start on this campaign. I visited Conception Seminary in Missouri about two weeks ago. This was the first batch of seminarians who received the book thanks to the generosity of donors last year. My friends there tell me that so much benefit has come from these meditations. Jesus, meek and humble of Heart, make our hearts like unto Thine! In thy Infancy. In thy Childhood. In thy Mission. In thy Agony and Passion. In thy Death. In thy Resurrection!

Holy Child Mary of the royal house of David, Queen of the angels, Mother of grace and love, I greet you with all my heart. Obtain for me the grace to love the Lord faithfully during all the days of my life. Obtain for me, too, a great devotion to you, who are the first creature of God’s love.

on the day of the Incarnation, the tree of life was planted,

Prayer

Blessed Child Mary, destined to be the Mother of God and our loving Mother, by the heavenly graces you lavish upon us, mercifully listen to my supplications. In the needs which press upon me from every side and especially in my present tribulation, I place all my trust in you.

O holy Child, by the privileges granted to you alone and by the merits which you have acquired, show that the source of spiritual favors and the continuous benefits which you dispense are inexhaustible, because your power with the Heart of God is unlimited.

Deign through the immense profusion of graces with which the Most High has enriched you from the first moment of your Immaculate Conception, grant me, O Celestial Child, my petition, and I shall eternally praise the goodness of your Immaculate Heart. AMEN!
