Recounting the story at Fatima:

Saint Michael continued in prayer with the three children. He knelt down, bowed with forehead touching the earth. The children did the same and repeated the words of his prayer.

Prayer doesn’t have to be so difficult. We have many examples: in Saint John resting upon the chest of Our Lord, able to hear His heartbeat; the Penitent, Mary Magdalen, making reparation by anointing Jesus and washing His Feet in her tears before His coming Passion, with compunction of heart; and Mary, the Immaculate, her heart pierced with sorrow in the Passion of her Son. Note the particularity of these instances. Each Saint relates to Our Lord according to the graces he has received, even the difficult graces, of trials and sufferings.

Humble yourself, and repeat these words three times, in prayer, as the little children did when taught by the Angel:

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I ask pardon for all those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love You!

The Angel, having prayed these words with the children, rose and said, “Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications.” After which, he departed from the children.
